November 1904 in Bitola damals Osmanisches Reich, heute Nordmazedoniencite-ref-1[1]; † 4. Oktober 1972) war ein bulgarischer Zoologe und Protistologe. Sein offizielles botanisches AutorenkΓΌrzel lautet β€žValkanovβ€œ.cite-ref-bio-2-0[2]

Walkanow war von 1942 bis 1963 Leiter der Meeresbiologischen Station in Warna. Ab 1953 war er als Professor am Zoologischen Institut und Museum in Sofia tÀtig. 1957 verâffentlichte er als Resultat seiner Forschungen einen Katalog zur Fauna des Schwarzen Meeres, der über 1375 EintrÀge enthielt.cite-ref-fet-3-0[3] 1970 verâffentlichte er seine BeitrÀge zur Kenntnis der Protozoen des Schwarzen Meeres.
